Help Exploring Out of Network Benefits
Many clients are able to use out-of-network benefits to receive partial reimbursement. We provide superbills that clients can submit to their insurance company to seek reimbursement for services.
A Brief Guide to Seeking Reimbursement for Out of Network Insurance Benefits:
Verify Your Benefits
Contact your insurance and confirm what out-of-network insurance benefits you have for mental health services. Make sure to include specific questions on out of network deductibles, session limits, and any other qualifiers for coverage.
Submit Your Superbill to Your Insurance Provider
We will provide you with a Superbill monthly (or as often as you request it), which you will submit to your provider for potential reimbursement for mental health services.
Follow Up!
Monitor your claim's status with your provider and follow up, as needed.
Frequently Asked Questions about Fees

A superbill is a detailed, itemized receipt provided by your therapist. It contains all the necessary medical codes (such as CPT and ICD-10 codes) and provider details for you to submit to your insurance company to request reimbursement for out-of-pocket costs.

We accept various forms of payment including cash, checks, and most major credit cards.
Many clients are also able to utilize the Health Care Savings Accounts or Flexible Spending Accounts to pay for services.
Payment is due at the time of service.

Yes, most HSA and FSA accounts cover you for mental health services. However, Six Hearts Counseling does recommend that you check with you provider to confirm that therapy services are eligible for coverage.

We require at least 24 hour notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Sessions that are cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment will be charged the full session fee of $225. We appreciate your understanding of this policy as it allows us to provide the best care possible to our clients.
